Birdsfoot trefoil

Birdsfoot trefoil is a common pasture legume. It does well alone or mixed with cool season grasses.

It is easily identified by the five leaflets per leaf

The bright yellow blooms can also aid in Identification.

Crownvetch

Crownvetch is another forage. One of its prime uses is on road banks. Its dense foliage has made it useful for erosion control.

It is easily identified by the leaves. There are seven-fifteen pairs of leaflets per leaf.

The flowers are pea-like and range in color from white to purple.
