In 1998, West Virginia's congressional delegation supported development of an aquaculture applied research program at West Virginia University. This summary describes the scope of this market- oriented, multidisciplinary effort. Individual objectives of the project focus around the following disciplines: Marketing, Agricultural & Resource Economics, Animal Science, Engineering, Recreation and Parks, and Technology Transfer.
