The Division of Forestry houses majors in the four areas of Forest Resource Management, Recreation, Parks & Tourism Resources, Wood Science and Technology, and Wildlife & Fisheries Resources. There is also a general forestry pre-major for students who are unsure of the specific program in which they wish to be admitted. Students within the division have access to the many excellent facilities within Percival Hall on the Evansdale campus, and at the 7,000 acre WVU Forest located near Cooper’s Rock. Graduates of the division have excellent job placement rates in a variety of settings that may include state and federal government agencies, state and federal parks, consulting firms, or private industry. Many students pursue graduate degrees within their field of study.
