Wildlife & Fisheries Resources

The Wildlife and Fisheries Resources program prepares students for a career in the natural resources field. Some career fields for graduates in Wildlife and Fisheries may include:

  • Fisheries Management
  • Wildlife Management
  • Fish Ecology
  • State and Federal Parks
  • Consulting Firms
  • Army Corps of Engineers
  • Fish Hatchery Owners
  • Federal Fish Culturists

Graduates of this program have found employment in the past with such agencies as the WV Department of Wildlife, PA Game and Fish, USDA, US Fish and Wildlife Service, Public Service Electric & Gas, and US Army Corps of Engineers.

Graduate School Options
A graduate degree may provide flexibility for advancement within state and federal natural resource and conservation agencies. Many students choose to pursue graduate degrees in Wildlife and Wetland Ecology, Stream Ecology, Forest Wildlife Management, Conservation Biology, or other related fields.
