2008 Davis College Commencement
The day that every college student eagerly anticipates is almost here! The Davis College and WVU are working hard to ensure that each graduate’s celebration is special. Here is what we have planned for commencement in 2008:
Davis College Graduation Ceremony and ReceptionSunday, May 18, 2008
9:30 a.m. Ceremony at the WVU Coliseum - Graduates need to arrive by 8:30 a.m. to assemble for the processional. Everyone is encouraged to enter the Coliseum were greeters will be on hand to direct graduates to the assembly location in the tunnel.
Reception immediately following at the WVU Shell Building. (The Shell Building is highlighted in the image below)
No ticket required but we do need you to RSVP for your family and friends to attend the reception. RSVP Form
Cap and Gown are required and may be purchased at the WVU Bookstore.
All Ph.D. and Mater’s graduates will be hooded during the Davis College Ceremony. Participants are required to supply their own hood. Ph.D. graduates are invited to ask their committee chair to participate in their individual hooding. All master’s graduates will be hooded by their respective division directors.

Important Key Dates for CommencementMarch 3 - One-Stop Shop for Commencement – Atrium of the Mineral Resources Building
April 30 - Last day to pay the $39 Diploma Fee Check or money order will be accepted in the following Agricultural Sciences offices: Graduate student Room 1004; Undergraduate Room 1002. Payable to WVU with “Graduation Fee” and student ID number indicated on the memo line. Cash, credit card or check will be accepted at the Bursar’s Office in the basement of Stewart Hall on the Downtown Campus or you can pay through your WVU Mix Account.
May 1 - Deadline to make disability related accommodations with Denise Hunnell at 304.293.2395 or dhunnell@mail.wvu.edu
May 2 - RSVP deadline for reception guests. RSVP Form
May 2 – If you do not plan to attend commencement, complete mailing form so your diploma can be mailed to you. Graduate student form is available in Room 1004 Agricultural Sciences Building. Undergraduate form is available in Room 1002 Agricultural Sciences Building.
Dead week - Undergraduate students are required to pickup blue grade report slips in room 1002 of the Agricultural Sciences Building to give to all instructors of courses on your current schedule.
