Extracurricular Activities

Involvement within the community and University is beneficial to building your overall portfolio. Community service, sports, and any other activity outside of the classroom shows that you are a well-rounded person who can also handle the busy schedule experienced in veterinary school. To get involved, look at the Agriculture Clubs & Organizations and the University's Student Organizations.

Essays & Interviews

When completing the application, you will be required to write an essay detailing why you are interested in veterinary medicine, including any experience that influenced your decision and future plans within the career of veterinary medicine.

After applying, interviews will be conducted for prospective students by OSU and Tuskegee. UGA does not hold interviews for applicants. Interview questions usually revolve around personal interests and projects. The interview gives the application committee a taste of your character and of your ability to work with people.
