- Updated our weather machine to the Davis Vantage Pro 2 unit, which now provides a leaf wetness sensor and a soil temperature sensor (leaf wetness = 0 is dry, leaf wetness = any number is wet; the soil probe is 3 inches deep in sod and is listed under the heading "leaf temp."). Hourly data from these sensors can be viewed here:
