Minor in Rural Community Development

This minor covers the concepts and principles pertaining to rural community development and requires courses focusing on the economy, communication and leadership, and community design principles.

Total credit hours: 18

Required courses:

  • ARE 204: Agribusiness Management
  • ARE 411: Rural Economic Development
  • AGEE 220: Group Organization and Leadership
  • AGEE 421: Agricultural and Natural Resource Communications

Two courses from the following:

  • LARC 465: Regional Design
  • LARC 466: Introduction to Regional and Urban Design Issues
  • LARC 570: Meanings of Place
