Teaching:

  • “Principles of Weed Science” (AGRN 451) offered every odd fall-semesters.

    The overall goal of this course is to let the students gain an appreciation for weed science and understand the importance weed management in modern agricultural systems. The course covers topics including weed biology, weed ecology, methods of weed control, fate of herbicides in the environment, modes of action of common herbicides etc. The laboratory component of the course will enable students to identify weeds, calibrate spray equipment, understand soil mobility of herbicides etc.

     

  • "Turfgrass Management" (AGRN 315) offered every odd fall-semesters.

This course is expected to provide students with the fundamentals involved in turfgrass establishment and management. Students enrolled in this course will obtain hands-on knowledge on aspects of turfgrass species and identification, environment, cultural practices, propagation, pest management, renovation, etc.
