Impact:
West Virginia can be a leader in supplying soft hardwood species for manufacture of wood composite products. The data from the survey shows the effect of wood composite mills introduction into West Virginia in 1995 and 1996. Roundwood consumption for sawlog products was reported at 61 million cubic feet while roundwod consumption for wood composite products was reported at 43 million cubic feet in 1999.
